Soulcraft
Don't Call it a Comeback It’s been a few years since we exhibited at NAHBS so we’re excited to be back.  While we are big fans of what Don Walker has done to bring attention to the community of builders, it hasn’t really been a boon for Soulcraft.  We think it is due mainly to the types of bikes we build; TIG welded, no flair, and no fancy paint jobs.  After three years of attending NAHBS, we realized that our potential customers simply were not attending this particular show (apparently they would rather stay home and ride).  NAHBS seemed to be attracting customers (and builders) whose focus was on lugs, paint, and the “constructeur” approach to building.  While there is nothing wrong with any of that, it’s not what we do here at Soulcraft.  And while we received a couple of awards and numerous compliments on the bikes at the shows, it simply didn’t generate the sales to offset the cost of attending. So why come back now?  One, it’s in our backyard and if for nothing else we want to be there to shake hands with our local fans.  Second, we think there needs to be more bikes like the ones we build represented at the show.  Maybe we can help get the pendulum swinging back toward bikes built to be ridden rather than idolized, not something to be coveted for what they are, but for what they can do.  We hope that if you are a fan of what we do you will rock, roll, fly, walk, pedal, skate, hitchhike, or tele-transport yourself to Sacramento and check us out.  You will not be disappointed.
