John Slawta of Landshark will discuss and demonstrate different techniques and tricks when using a Dynafile for finishing brass fillets. John Slawta’s early ambition was to become a professional artist and after high school, received a scholarship from the Pasadena School of Art and Design. Prior to art school and while attending community college he began building bicycle frames in his parents’ tool shed. To his surprise, someone wanted to buy his custom built frames and the Landshark phenomena began. John’s big break came in 1986 when a group of professional riders including Andy Hampsten and former U.S. Olympic cycling team coach Roy Knickman ordered frames. Landsharks popularity grew and soon appeared on the international racing circuit. Landsharks have raced in the Tour de France and ridden to victory in both the Giro d’Italia and the U.S. Pro Championships.
