Construction – Lugged
Bishop Bikes 650b Constructeur Randonneur Bike. French style randonneur bike with integrated fenders, pump, rack, and light with a generator hub. Thin-walled standard size tubing was used to give the bike a lively ride that would plane well. Randonneur bikes have many tolerance considerations when fully integrating all the parts. The design of the bike was influenced by the classic 1950s French constructeurs Alex Singer and Rene Herse, the Japanese frame company Toei, and modern American builder Peter Weigle. Bryan Myers of Fresh Frame painted the frame, which is based off of a classic French rando paint scheme typical of that era. The frame has hand-cut bilaminate lugs; many custom-made braze ons, including the chainslap guard mounts and internal brake routing with a custom-made cable pulley and bracket; custom stem; complete retrofit of a Campagnolo Portacatena chain rest; and a stainless steel custom rack.
