NAHBS News: CycloCross – Six-Eleven:

Riding Discipline – Six-Eleven

Six-Eleven Bicycle Co.

Patrick’s cross bike is a fillet brazed CX machine built specifically for the mid-Atlantic racing circuit. The tubing selection features a Columbus Max main triangle (save for the seat tube), which was chosen for its famous ride quality and pinched toptube, for comfort when shouldering the bike. The remaining tubes are a mix of Mini-Max and True Temper OX Platinum. Banded canti brake bosses mimic the bands on the matching Wound-Up Composites fork. We put our 1962 New Hermes Pantograph machine to work on some really neat small details, including a custom brass chainstay protector with the rider’s name. An extra special finish treatment was hand-painted by the “Grandfather of Virginia mountain biking”.
